Angle of Release
How you release the disc is actually more important than how hard you throw it. A disc thrown level with the ground will almost always go farther. The biggest mistake you can make is to throw your disc at an upward angle. The disc will stall and fall in a direction opposite of your throwing hand. In other words keep it flat.

Anhyzer
I know, your thinking a beer company right? Well actually Anhyzer is the term used for when you attempt to make a disc curve in the same direction as your throwing arm by releasing the disc at such an angle that the outside edge points skyward.

Arm Speed
This one sounds simple doesn't it? Actually the amount of arm speed that a player generates will also affect a disc's flight. The faster you throw the more a disc will tend to fly in an understable manner.

Hyzer
Hyzer is just the exact opposite of Anhyzer. You release the disc at such an angle that the outside edge points to the ground. This is done when you want the disk to curve away from your throwing arm.

Overstable
This means that a disc naturally will want to curve in the direction opposite of the person's throwing hand when thrown flat. Wind will also play an important factor in whether the disc would curve.

Understable
This means that a disc will tend to turn towards your throwing hand when thrown flat. As with overstable discs, wind plays an important factor.
upshot
Upshot means your approach shot (to the basket). On a short hole, it is your drive, and on a long hole, it could be your third shot (or more).
It does not mean "going up a hill". Who wrote that, anyway?
Wind
OK, now to tell you why wind plays such a big factor in the game. Well, a headwind tends to make discs want to act more understable than normal. While a tail wind will make it act more overstable. Now crosswinds normally don't affect disc flight that much if the disk is thrown flat. If you are playing in a crosswind and use either hyzer or anhyzer in your release. WATCH OUT! In crosswinds you are safer just throwing flat and using the disc's natural tendencies to your advantage.
